Thanks so much for your support for those who commented on my last journal. I have decided and begun my holiday vids. My dramatic vid will have two fandoms. I didn't have enough footage for the third fandom I was going to put in. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish it before Christmas Eve. So, keep an eye out.

Hey watchers! I haven't updated in a while, have I? Well, I am now.

Scanner situation
Hooray! My dad said I can use his! w00t! w00t! However, I won't be scanning anything until probably next weekend cuz I have things to do over the week and homework to do tomorrow. But still, HELLZ YEAH!

Everything else
Recently been getting back into One Piece, trying to catch up.

Also, I've finally started watching Axis Powers Hetalia. I love Italy! (as many others do) But, I'm seriously loving every episode so far.

NaNoWriMo? I failed it. I only got to at least 5000 words before the end of the month. However, that doesn't mean I've stopped writing the story. Heck no, Marcus lives on! Yes, when I start putting my art up again, you will see drawings of him; the psychotic murderer that he is.

Sooooo... the Christmas season has started! And I was wondering, if anybody would like to do a holiday art trade with me? I'll be asking this question until Christmas Day.

On Friday me and my video production class went to this outdoor place where we got to do team-building activities. The first part consisted of all of us having to balance a giant wooden teeter. It took hours before we were able to do it. Then, we ate lunch and had hot chocolate with marshmallows that melted as soon as the hot water was added. After that came hell. Actually, we were put into harnesses (which are more difficult to put on than I thought) and helmets; then, it was tree-climbing time. We had to begin on a ladder that lead to the tree where metal "staples" were connected to it for our hands and feet. That tree was attached to another parallel tree by a log.
The ladder was ok to get onto, but once I got to the staples, fear kicked in. I don't have a fear of heights or of falling... I have a fear of hitting the ground! Plus, it didn't help with the fact that it was freezing cold outside and my hands were getting numb. With the encouragement of the group below I made it to where the log connected to the tree. It was time's like that I wish I had longer legs. I had to swing over to the log cuz it was on the other side of the tree and there weren't enough staples between where I was and the horizontal log.
So, swinging over, I ended up sitting on the log, clinging to the rope for dear life. At one point, I thought I was going to slip off the log, so I grabbed the nearest thing near my left arm: a skinny branch. Thinking back on it it was quite hilarious, cuz as soon as I did it I heard from behind me Kate (who was up there with me) say "Don't grab that tree branch, Jess." If I wasn't cold stiff (no pun intended) I would've laughed and probably have had to be saved by the rope.
But of course I couldn't be up there any longer. I had had enough. I wanted down. I kinda also wanted to be lowered down. So with the help of my classmate Kate (thank God for her) I was able to swing my leg over so I could take position to be brought down. Once I was beginning to be lowered down, I felt safety wash over me. It was like sitting in midair, only going downward. I reached the ground and everyone congratulated me for continuing on when my courage hung by a thread; No pun intended. Afterward, I was shaking with all the adrenaline still rushing through my veins. I think that was the most exciting experience I've ever had. My only regret about that experience was that I didn't stand up on the horizontal log like everybody else. It was still excellent!

Haha! Back to the talk of the holidays and videos... Yes! I said vids! I will hopefully have time to make two. One dramatic, one comical. But, I need your help. Help me decide whether or not the dramatic vid should be one fandom or multiple. If one fandom, I could probably get it done faster; but if multiple, it could appeal to a wider range of people. Hello, faithful watchers and/or newcomer watchers! How are you all? I hope you're doing very good. There are several things I want to touch on in this journal, so please bear with me for those who don't like long journals.

Scanner News
The first thing I want to say is thank you. Thank you for those who've been anxiously awaiting for my scanner to work again. I'm putting my foot down right now and I'm going to ask my dad if I can use his scanner. I don't see why he'd say no, but I have to ask him. I'll let you know what he says when he says it. So, fingers crossed!

Doctor Who: Waters of Mars
I really liked it! For those who've seen it and would like to know what I thought about every detail, just let me know and I'll write a seperate journal for it. But... yeah! Can not wait for the Christmas special and yet I'm kinda sad for it.

Another Anime Con 2009
I had a super-duper time at the convention this past weekend!!! I'd like to at the people who I met there and are now watching me here. Hello new friends!!

So, my time at the con:

Friday: I didn't go XD

Saturday: Cosplayed as Pavi Largo from Repo! The Genetic Opera. My make-up I had to do all by myself and I must say, I did a damn good job considering the fact I couldn't wear my glasses during the applying. I was so happy on how many people recognized my costume. Repo Power w00t w00t! Everyone who did usually got a hug... except for the Pyramid Head. (Her head piece could've poked my eye out and we were standing on stairs XD) Everyone who didn't get my costume just gave me weird looks.
Luckily, the registration line wasn't too long and it moved pretty fast
My sister was selling stuff in the vender's room. She does comissions... go comission her now! ~kitcat4056
Hung out a majority walked around by myself for a while... until I walked into the Anime Dating Game which had just started. They had three hilarious rounds. I'm sad I didn't take any vids or pics from it.If it ends up on youtube (which it probably will soon) I'll link it so those who didn't see it can watch the hilarity X3 It consisted of the BEST SANJI COSPLAY EVER! I got a pic of him and the Nami he was with XD
Hung out a bit more, bought stuff, before going to the Masquerade with sis which was epic. It is on Youtube now: [link]
After Masquerade, we hung out and watched the awards and AMV winners and stuff. We didn't stay afterward for the rave. Instead we went home had a cup of tea, took make-up off, quickly checked e-mail, then went to bed.

Sunday: I did a lot more events this day... and more shopping X3 I cosplayed as The Master (Simm!Master) from Doctor Who. I couldn't find a black tie, so I used my dad's dark red one instead, which I think made it look more evil. I had my laser screwdriver (who'd have sonic?) and my Tenth Doctor action figure XD
When I got there I watched the Cosplay Chess game which was hysterical. Alucard got taken out by a character I don't know. Then that character got taken out by Nekozawa from Ouran High School Host Club. It was great! Again I'm sad I didn't take any vids or pics from it. I also when to the Chibi Cookie thing where we were given a gingerbread cookie and different frostings and candy and we got to decorate it. Mine was messy, but it tasted good. I created a red-headed secret aganet character with granades (used mini oreos) on his belt and rocket-boots (Hershey kisses), who I'm sure will end up in my NaNoWriMo story XD
I skipped the Hetalia & History panel (now I kinda wish I didn't) and went to buy more stuff at the vender's room. Got to hug the awesome!Sanji-n-Nami; that sanji was SUPER TALL. I mean, I bearly reached the middle of his chest! lol Anyways... after that, I hung around until the Match Game started; which was quite funny.
Once that was over, I didn't stay for the closing ceremonies. Instead, I helped my sister pack up her table in the vender's room then went home.

All-in-all, I had a great time! I think the most popular cosplay this year was Hetalia. I need to watch more of that anime X3

~my first bottle of original flavor of Ramune. It was goood!

I also got a free Sogeking pin-head from my sister's buisiness partner cuz it (for some dumb unknown reason) wasn't selling. I think that's about it. Strangely enough, I DIDN'T buy any pocky. They were selling it, but I didn't buy any! D8 Oh well, I'll make do with the shrinking box I have stashed in my room. So left AAC with more fun memories and stuff I don't need. I also have a couple of pics I took that I'll put up over the week.
